Boosting expertise through top-quality training

As the official dealer for Manitowoc in Indonesia, Cranserco invests in the professional development of its technicians by providing advanced training at the renowned Grove Training Center in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. The initiative aims to enhance service quality and customer support in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.



In June 2024, three Cranserco technicians embarked on an intensive training journey, starting in Singapore and concluding at the Grove Training Center in Germany this October. This training builds on the success of similar training by four technicians in 2023, including two who completed their certification at Manitowoc’s German facility.


The targeted training program addresses the specific needs of highly skilled technicians, ensuring they are equipped to troubleshoot and maintain the latest crane technologies. By enhancing local expertise, Cranserco aims to provide exceptional after-sales service in Indonesia, reducing reliance on costly and time-consuming overseas technical support.


The program covers a comprehensive range of Grove crane technology, focusing on GRT rough-terrain and GMK all-terrain crane models. Technicians gain an in-depth understanding of advances in engines, power trains, hydraulics, and control systems in the GRT and GMK product lines, enhancing overall customer experience.



Hands-on education


Combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, the curriculum includes hands-on tasks conducted both on simulators and operational cranes. This approach ensures that participants develop a thorough understanding of crane technology, including ECOS, EKS4, EKS5, and CCS diagnostic systems. After completing the program, technicians receive certifications ranging from GMK1.1 to GMK7.1 levels, which confirm their proficiency in diagnosing and repairing advanced crane systems.


Robby Darwis, a trainer at Cranserco, emphasized the importance of the initiative: “Our goal is to support customers and their cranes. Manitowoc is committed to aiding technicians by providing them with in-depth, hands-on training and resources directly from our experts. With factory-certified training for our technicians, customers in Indonesia will receive world-class after-sales service without the need for overseas support.”
